Ecuyer Thatchers – Cross Green Court

Cross Green Court - TAS100 Thatch Fireboard

Thatching Advisory Services have supplied a number of their TAS100 Thatch Fireboards for a new project being carried out by Daniel Ecuyer.

In addition to the TAS100 Thatch Fireboards, the 260m² roof in Suffolk will also have specially manufactured 600mm Thatchbatts® placed between the roof timbers on the underside of the roof structure. The Thatchbatts® when used with the TAS100 Thatch Fireboards, make up a comprehensive Thatch Fire Protection system.

Prior to the project starting, Thatching Advisory Services were able to provide Daniel with a comprehensive U-Value and Condensation Risk Analysis report based on all products included in the overall roof structure.

Thatchsayf – Spraying season started

Thatching Advisory Services recently took advantage of an unexpected and very welcome break in the weather and carried out its first Thatchsayf fire retardant treatment of 2013.

The project saw TAS carry out the training for Toby Marr and Jack Stiles, thatchers with Greystone Moore Ltd, and treat the thatched roof of The Ley Arms public house in Kenn, Devon.

The 185m² roof, which was treated with ‘clear’ Thatchsayf, was completely re-thatched by Jack and Toby.
