Thatch Alert – Chatsworth Estate

Thatching Advisory Services has installed the first of their re-designed chimney heat monitoring systems, the TAS-33 Thatch Alert.

TAS were instructed to install the system in one of the properties on the Chatsworth Estate, close to Chatsworth House, home of the Duke of Devonshire.

The property, which is in the heart of the Peak District in Derbyshire, became the first property in the UK to benefit from the system, which is specifically designed to monitor the temperature of the chimney brickwork at the point where it meets the thatch. The system acts as an early warning device to inform the home owner of potential high temperatures.
